New “American Horror Story” Fan-made Horror Series made by fans, for fans!

American Horror Stories

In August 2013, American Horror Stories uploaded it’s first teaser in honor of the hit FX horror anthology series, “American Horror Story”.  Created by Michael Davis, Zachary Simon, and Jessie Jones, this YouTube fan-made webseries has sparked up over 700+ subscribers and has over 5k hits. On October 28th, they released their first episode entitled “Misery’s Company”.

One night, after watching a full season of AHS on Netflix, I decided to look up some old AHS promos and stumbled upon this little piece of treasury. I’ve watched every episode of American Horror Stories, and I must say, it is the best fan-made series I have seen so far on the web.  The writing of each episode is very well done and even better executed. Here is one of the bone-chilling promos created by these hardcore fans of the FX show, “American Horror Story”.

What do you think?

Since October 28th, American Horror Stories has had a total of four episodes in this first season that centers on a woman named Jessica who has recently moved into a wood-surrounded apartment complex, known as Coldhill Estates, after a stressing divorce. One thing Jessica didn’t look much into on her new home was the history. Coldhill has a very, very terrifying and nightmarish background. In American Horror Stories, terror takes a new form.

‘The Walking Dead’ S2 – What Lies Ahead Review

(source)

After a year off the air, ‘The Walking Dead’ season 2 has finally arrived. ‘The Walking Dead‘ season two premiered Sunday October 16th @9pmE. I read a few of the comic books and  just started watching ‘The Walking Dead‘ series on AMC exactly five hours before the new season premiered. I was shocked! I didn’t think the series would be as good as it is.

I think there are three main things that every zombie movie/TV show should have and that is great zombie makeup and special affects, great acting, and great writing. And I feel that ‘The Walking Dead’ has those three things. Which is why it is as successful as it is today!

The new season had a great start! The first few scenes were quite emotional yet awesome.

About 10 minutes in, the crisis starts to get worse and worse for the gang. First they get stuck on a highway with cars that have rotting corpses instead of a living driver and passengers. Which, as you know, is never a good thing in a zombie apocalypse show like this one. And that’s when the episode kicks off.

Suddenly, a wave of drooling, moaning, slow zombies start walking through the abandoned highway. The protagonist, Rick Grimes notices one zombie at first and knows that something bad is going to happen. It was pretty obvious. And then as Andrea was putting together her pistol, you see the zombies out of the interior window. But she doesn’t notice it! Which I thought was pretty cool. The cinematography is always epic in ‘The Walking Dead‘.

The season premiere was awesome, scary, gorey, and well-written! This season is off to a great start. Watch ‘The Walking Dead‘ Sundays at 9pm/8pm Central on AMC.

Teen Wolf Review

(source)

‘Teen Wolf’ is a horror/drama/fantasy series on MTV about a somewhat awkward teen named Scott is attacked by a werewolf and inherits the curse itself, as well as the enemies that come with it. Before I started watching the MTV series ‘Teen Wolf’, I watched the 80’s film, ‘Teen Wolf’ starring Michael J. Fox which is kind of the same thing, but a slight difference. In the 80’s version, Scott’s last name is different, and the way he became a werewolf was through his family.

Teen Wolf the 2011 series is more horrifying and dramatic, while the movie was more comedy and family friendly. But I believe the series is based off of the movie.

‘Teen Wolf’ the series is like another version of ‘True Blood’, but made for teens and is all about werewolves and not vampires. There isn’t many special affects in ‘Teen Wolf’ the series, but when there are, they are really good! In the last episode of season 1, the alpha werewolf looks amazing! He is muscular, furry, and looks like a traditional werewolf.

‘Teen Wolf’ is now one of my favorite shows! Season 1 ends with a bang! I don’t wanna spoil anything for you, though. I can’t wait for season 2!
