“Hotel Transylvania” (2012) – Review

Now, as we all know (in case you didn’t, you do now), “Hotel Transylvania” was not at all a horror movie… It was a comedy movie that featured horror movie monsters. Soon after this film was released into theaters, it immediately would be known as the “Funniest Movie in America”. I have to agree. This movie had me rolling, it was so funny! With celebrity voices like Adam Sandler (Dracula), Selena Gomez (Mavis), Andy Samberg (Johnny), Kevin James (Frankenstein), CeeLo Green (Murrway), and Steve Buscemi (Wayne), this movie was just hilarious. If you have not heard anything about this movie, here is the synopsis:

Dracula, who operates a high-end resort away from the human world, goes into overprotective mode when a boy discovers the resort and falls for the count’s teen-aged daughter. (IMDB)

“Hotel Transylvania” was directed by the famous Genndy Tartakovsky of 1996’s Dexter’s Laboratory. “Hotel Transylvania” was well written and animated. It had a very Dexter’s Laboratory style to it…

Now, let me warn you about something… This movie is very random at times. The randomness is what makes it funny! The way the monsters get around, talk, write, etc. is just hilarious (and we all know there just has to be a Twilight joke in this movie, right? There was.).

I recommend this movie to humans (or monsters) from the age of 6+. Go see it NOW!
