‘The Walking Dead’ S2 – What Lies Ahead Review

After a year off the air, ‘The Walking Dead’ season 2 has finally arrived. ‘The Walking Dead‘ season two premiered Sunday October 16th @9pmE. I read a few of the comic books and  just started watching ‘The Walking Dead‘ series on AMC exactly five hours before the new season premiered. I was shocked! I didn’t think the series would be as good as it is.

I think there are three main things that every zombie movie/TV show should have and that is great zombie makeup and special affects, great acting, and great writing. And I feel that ‘The Walking Dead’ has those three things. Which is why it is as successful as it is today!

The new season had a great start! The first few scenes were quite emotional yet awesome.

About 10 minutes in, the crisis starts to get worse and worse for the gang. First they get stuck on a highway with cars that have rotting corpses instead of a living driver and passengers. Which, as you know, is never a good thing in a zombie apocalypse show like this one. And that’s when the episode kicks off.

Suddenly, a wave of drooling, moaning, slow zombies start walking through the abandoned highway. The protagonist, Rick Grimes notices one zombie at first and knows that something bad is going to happen. It was pretty obvious. And then as Andrea was putting together her pistol, you see the zombies out of the interior window. But she doesn’t notice it! Which I thought was pretty cool. The cinematography is always epic in ‘The Walking Dead‘.

The season premiere was awesome, scary, gorey, and well-written! This season is off to a great start. Watch ‘The Walking Dead‘ Sundays at 9pm/8pm Central on AMC.
